Basic Obedience Class
This Basic Obedience Class is designed to teach dogs and their owners how to communicate with each other and learn training fundamentals.
Basic Obedience Class Topics Include:
- Standard Dog Handling Techniques: Sit, Down, Off (when jumpting), Leave It, Stay, Come, Heel, Changing direction while walking on a lead
- Housebreaking and Nutritional guidance and other hints and tips
- The AKC Star Puppy Test is offered at the end of this class for pups under 1 year of age for no additional charge.
This is a 7-week class – The last week is for the Star Puppy Test Prep, Testing, Q&A and Fun Activities.
Dogs who complete this class will be prepared to take the Intermediate Obedience Class.
Class size is limited to a Maximum of 10 dogs per class.
We offer classes in small groups on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in at our locations in Murrysville and North Versailles respectively.
An additional class may be added at 7pm if the 6pm class is full. Our reservation specialists will have the most up to date information on class sizes.
The Basic Obedience Class will be $225 or $210 if you pay in advance. (Save $15!)
Save an EXTRA $15 for when you prepay for Basic or Intermediate Training Classes at our North Versailles Location.

Start Times:
Basic Obediance Classes start at 6:00 PM. Please arrive early to get checked in and to discuss any questions you may have.
Class size is limited to 10 dogs. If more than 10 dogs sign up, we will divide the class into two based on the human’s perferred start time, with the second Basic Class starting at 7:00 PM.
Intermediate Obediance Classes start after the Basic Class finishes, typically at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM if there are two Basic Classes.

If weather conditions, holidays or other events cause Walkers to cancel a week’s class, it will be added on – so that you receive all 7 sessions.
There will no classes on July 2 or July 3. Classes will resume the following week. Enjoy the Holiday!
