Intermediate Obedience Class (CGC Prep)
The Intermediate Obedience Class is a training program available to pets who have already taken a Basic Obedience Class.
Dogs who previously taken an Intermediate Obedience class but wish to improve their skills will also benefit from this class since the instructor will be customizing the program to match individual needs
The goal of this class is to enable dogs to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) examination
This is a 7-week class – The last week is for CGC Test Prep, Testing, Q&A and Fun Activities
Topics Include:
- Review and MASTERY of basic commands
- Walking on a loose lead
- “Stay” with distractions
The Intermediate Obedience Class will be $225 or $210 if you pay in advance. (Save $15!)

Participants will have the option of taking the AKC Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) during the last class. There is an additional fee if you want your dog to take the CGC test during the last class to cover our costs for the AKC materials. There is no additional charge if you want to participate in the last class and do not want to take the test.
Please call or stop in to ask us any questions you may have. When you register and pay for the class we will check to confirm your pet’s vet records are current in our system or let you know what is still required.

Start Times:
Basic Obediance Classes start at 6:00 PM. Please arrive early to get checked in and to discuss any questions you may have.
Class size is limited to 10 dogs. If more than 10 dogs sign up, we will divide the class into two based on the human’s perferred start time, with the second Basic Class starting at 7:00 PM.
Intermediate Obediance Classes start after the Basic Class finishes, typically at 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM if there are two Basic Classes.
