Puppy Parties
What is a Puppy Party?
Puppy Parties are FREE, supervised socialization events designed to help puppies and young dogs build confidence, learn appropriate play, and have fun — while giving owners a chance to see what Walkers is all about.
Why Puppy Parties Matter
Socialization helps young dogs learn how to interact with dogs and people that are NEW to them in a safe, controlled environment. These early positive experiences set the foundation for confident, well-adjusted adult dogs.
Who Should Attend
Our Puppy Parties are designed for puppies and young dogs under 2 years old and their humans (Adults and Kids).
We encourage everyone, especially parents of children who are thinking about getting a new puppy, to ask questions about what they see. This will help them learn about the many varieties of dogs as well as the many the responsibilities of helping a puppy grow up to be a good dog.
What to Expect
• Supervised playgroups organized by size
• Caring, trained staff monitoring interactions
• Clean, sanitary play areas
• A welcoming environment for both pups and people
Socialization vs. Training
Puppy parties are for Socialization. Puppies learn from each other and from the people in their environment.
Socialization is learning from peers — like playground time.
Training is learning from teachers — like the classroom.
Both are important, and Puppy Parties are a great first step.
Health & Safety
To keep everyone safe and healthy, we require:
• Leashes to get your pup to and from your car safely
• Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies vaccines
• A negative fecal test within the past year
• All pups over 6 months old need to be “fixed”
Your veterinarian can easily send these records to us in advance so everything is ready before you arrive.
• Puppy playgroups are organized by size – so little pups aren’t overwhelmed by big ones
• All Puppy Parties are supervised by our trained staff.
